Whispers in our Wounds: God carries us through
God specializes in the corners of our being, working to heal what we try to hide.
What has been the one thing on your heart and the subject of your inner dialogue lately?
The parts of you that only you know about, the pieces that protrude into your conscious mind interrupting your flow, but their pressing presence remains.
The parts that you feel unable to share because it feels too private, too personal and your circle does not feel safe.
Often, I have felt the push to vocalize what lies inside, when sometimes I do not have the words for it. As I have come to understand it, dialoguing with God comes in many forms.
Behind the praise, petitions and pleas for provision or purpose, there is a quiet inner sanctuary within, where we can seek solace.
He meets us there, knowing already what we bring without us needing to say a word. He works in the corners of our consciousness. The crevices that cry out to be heard. He caresses the critic in each of us with a tenderness that softens even the surliest.
This is a poem about the mind-bending, overflowing fountain of mercy and grace from God.
Nothing is ever too much for Him. There is never a record set against you, nor a need to earn His love. Come as you are to the one who longs to lavish His love upon you.
He works in the corners, the crevices
the parts we hide,
dispel or cast aside.
The ugly, tangled traumas,
that refuse to be pried-
apart.
That take root-
in the rugged rough rind
where our memories reside.
Its never too much for Him.
Never a burden.
Never a record kept aside.
Never too far fallen
from His eyes,
to be swept up, a monsoon of mercy,
defying love’s limits by the author of grace.
He who has been writing your story from the
beginning of time.
Praying for you
With Love
